So it seems that Kanye West isn't the only rapper that has fashion forecasting skills. On Drake's 2011 sophomore album Take Care he says: you won't feel me until everybody say they love you, but it's not love and your suit is oxblood. I'm just going to be honest I had no idea what oxblood was when I heard that, so of course I went to google and found out that oxblood is a color. Now a year later oxblood is THEE color for fall. Oxblood is a rich burgundy red color and it is truly epic on a multitude of skin tones. The easiest and safest way to incorporate a new color into your wardrobe is to start small. Try the oxblood color on your nails and/or lips, with a clutch, or shoe and work it in with pieces you already have. If you want to be bold go for a skirt or dress in the deep red hue and match it with mustard yellow, gray, or gold accents. You can also use it as an accent piece with a houndstooth or other classic print. Or you can be a real risk taker and do full on oxblood in a monochromatic look like many of the designers did for their F/W 2012 collections. Happy shopping everybody!
