Basic Shoes Every Girl Needs

When building your shoe collection, keep in mind that there are a few pairs of heels that every woman needs in her repetiore.

Basic Black and Nude Pump: You need a basic pump in both black and nude in a classic silhouette.  These are functional for work, interviews, meetings, and the like.  Additionally, you can throw them on with a pair of skinnies and a blazer for a casual chic look.  It's ok to splurge on these, because they will never go out of style; therefore, you want to be able to get a lot of wear out of them.

Snakeskin Shoe: A snakeskin shoe adds the perfect amount of edge and texture to an otherwise dull look.  You can achieve the same look with a good pair of leopard print pumps.

Strappy Black Sandal:  A strappy black sandal is important for when you need to be more formal or dressy.  Say you've been invited by your colleagues for drinks after work.  You can throw these on with an LBD (Little Black Dress) and you're good to go.

Fun Shoe with a Pop of Color:  You'll always need to shake things up a bit, so you want to have a fun shoe that adds a pop of color.  Whether you're wearing all black, or color blocking, you absolutely need a pair of shoes with serious personality.  These may be trendy, colorful, and/or patterned.
